Our team is involved in various ministries. On a regular day, we do something in the morning, and something else in the afternoon. When we go out, we normally separate into two teams. The thinking is, that if there are more than about 4 or 5 people visiting a place or a group of street kids, the kids become less responsive, because they might feel overwhelmed by the amount of people and it becomes little more than a zoo. Also, the people going get less chance to interact with the kids as well and just end up standing around.
So, yes, we visit street kids a lot, but we spend one day a week, doing "practical" work at the main YWAM center just outside of the Recife(the city we are in), and we have some Portuguese lessons on Wednesday and Friday. Some of the ministries we visit are the Bread of Life (Pao de Vida) orphanage, and Happy Child (Crianca Feliz), which is a place where boys that are in difficult family situation can come and live for some time while their parents have to work on some goals, and when they meet these goals, the boy is returned to them. We played volleyball with these boys and laughed with them as they played with the little crabs they picked up at the beach. Next week, we will start to visit a couple of Christian schools, I know that a Salvation Army school will be one of them.

Relations - how do we live them?
This week on the MDTS:
Relationships. What do the Bible say about relationships? What does the Bible say about how we shall live?
The Bible is full of information and directions on how to live together. God in His wisdom have spoken clearly about the need of humility and sound judgement of our own standing. This so that we can "show God" to the world.
The teaching about relationships focus on what the Bible say about relating to God, to family, to friends and to spouse. What is the criteria for a good and healthy marriage.
